The Striated Caracara (Phalcoboenus australis), commonly known as the Johnny Rook is considered as one of the rarest raptors in the world. The stamps designed by Dag Petersen depict the birds as portraits of mature and young, in flight, perched near tussock grass and feeding. The World Wild Fund for Nature endorsed this issue.
